Onions: peeling, slicing and dicing

This is theboganbuddha way to chop an onion and nothing like how a professional chef does it. Never mind though because it still works great.

How to Peel, Slice, and Dice Onions

  1. Top and tail the onion
  2. Place the onion on one of its ends and cut in half, you should now be able to slice in the onion into half moons.
  3. Remove the skin from each half.
  4. Slice according to your desire or to the recipe: big Papa Bear slices, medium Mama Bear slices, thin Baby Bear slices or somewhere in between depending on the recipe.
  5. If you are going for the dice option then layer one to three slices (depending on thickness) and cut through them to create dice.
